Job: Visitor Center & Gift Shop Sales Associate

Location: Columbus Ave, North Beach

Position Type: Part-time, 4-8 hour shifts

Salary: $20+ per hour

Job Description: As a Visitor Center Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, promoting local businesses, and enriching the experience of visitors to San Francisco. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Greeting and assisting visitors with enthusiasm and warmth, providing information about our products, tours, and local attractions.

• Operating the Square POS system efficiently and accurately to process transactions and maintain inventory records.

• Offering personalized recommendations and insights to enhance the visitor's exploration of San Francisco.

• Assisting with administrative tasks, including restocking inventory, organizing displays, and maintaining cleanliness in the visitor center.

Requirements:

• Previous experience with Square POS or similar point-of-sale systems.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for engaging with people from diverse backgrounds.

• Strong knowledge of San Francisco's attractions, landmarks, and cultural offerings.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.

• Charismatic, energetic, and adaptable personality with a genuine passion for supporting local businesses and promoting community engagement.

• Ideally located in or around the North Beach Area of San Francisco.

• Demonstrated ability to engage with a diverse range of visitors with open-mindedness and patience, ensuring all guests feel welcomed and valued.
